Gerry is a Partner at Galadari Advocates and Legal Consultants, with his practice focus being corporate & commercial and projects. Gerry brings a wealth of experience in high profile projects and transactions in the renewables, oil and gas, petrochemicals and power sectors, including advising on structuring, joint venture and project agreements and finance documents, as well as on the corporate and technical aspects of such projects.
Gerry regularly counsels on a broad range of matters, including joint ventures, infrastructure and energy deals, and corporate restructuring. He is not adverse to acting on multi-jurisdictional matters and recently advised a large listed mid-west US industrial on its US DoJ-mandated divestment of assets based in the UAE and broader region, which required corporate restructuring in the UAE and amendments to distributor arrangements.
Prior to pursuing a career in law, Gerry worked as a chemical engineer with a British multinational consultancy, engineering and project management company. Due to this experience he has unparalleled knowledge of the inner workings of the energy industry, bolstering his legal abilities on such matters.
Experience gained prior to Galadari has stood him in good stead in large scale energy projects on the project documentation side. Gerry has broad knowledge and experience of the documentation used in energy and infrastructure projects, including negotiations of joint venture agreements, corporate documents and industry-standard documents. Gerry recently advised on the farm-in and amendment agreements to the petroleum concession agreement and finance documentation for a petroleum concession in a northern Emirate of the UAE.
Gerry is proactive and responsive with clients, who value his timely input into their matters. He often acts for high profile clients of the firm who appreciate his practical advice and versatility, as is evidenced in the nature, number and size of the deals which he has closed for them.
