Paula is an associate at Galadari Advocates & Legal Consultants, based in the firms’ Dubai office. She is a member of the Corporate & Commercial team, focusing on M&A and joint ventures, commercial contracts, shareholders agreements, share purchase agreements, licensing agreements, corporate structuring and re-structuring, onshore and offshore company setup and various other corporate matters. Paula recently assisted on the drafting and negotiation concerning the acquisition of 50% of the shares in a retail business with an option to acquire the remaining 50% at a later stage. This was inclusive of the restructuring of the business. She has extensive experience with company incorporation and restructuring and assisted on the corporate restructuring of the UAE entities of a member of the ruling family of Dubai, including the conversion of the legal type of existing entities as well as the incorporation of new ones.
Prior to Galadari, Paula was employed by the RLD Group, where she worked as an associate, responsible for providing corporate related legal assistance and support including legal research, reviewing, drafting and negotiating legal contracts, risk assessment for companies in different sectors such as engineering, architecture & construction, oil & gas and real estate. She has extensive experience advising on labour law cases including reviewing, drafting and negotiating employment contracts. She has developed key relationships between clients and local authorities, agents and financial entities through liaison with Free Zones, Department of Economic Development and other governmental authorities in the UAE.
Paula qualified in Madrid, Spain having completed her bachelor’s degree in law and business administration from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Spain, HEC Montreal in Canada and Bocconi University in Milan.
