UAE targeted by over 50,000 cyber-attacks daily

The UAE Cyber Security Council and Oracle have extended their partnership, pledging to enhance the UAE’s cyber security framework. This partnership will share information on IT security risks, provide updates on the latest cybersecurity technologies, distribute educational materials, and deliver training on cybersecurity topics to all sectors.

The UAE Cyber Security Council collaborates with its partners to prevent more than 50,000 cyber-attacks daily, primarily targeting the banking, financial, health, and oil and gas industries reveals Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, the Head of Cyber Security in the UAE.

Mohammed adds the council fights against cyberattacks while adhering to the country’s information security standards and policies. He also gave assurances the UAE’s sophisticated digital infrastructure and capabilities are efficient in countering malicious cyberattacks targeting government entities.

The goal of the Cyber Security Council is to establish a cybersecurity infrastructure to safeguard all sectors in the nation, while adhering to international best practices to ensure a secure and efficient environment.
